We would like to thank our board member, Bill Murray, for placing American flags at our schools today in honor of Patriot Day. Students, staff, and families were moved, and appreciated the show of support for those affected by the events of 9/11.
Burke Students are so excited to be in school today! It is too hot to go outside, but that's okay-there is a lot of fun going on inside. The first day of school is the best day!
Some great messages are displayed for our students thanks to our "Chalk the Walk" event! "Plant kindness" and "Shine Bright" because "You Matter!" What a great way to start the year. Thank you for the inspiration. It is going to be a great 2023-2024 school year!
The heat did not stop the "Chalk the Walk" event from happening today! Board members Ms. Brennan and Mr. Joyce showed off their artistic skills and Mrs. Sochor and Mr. Maguire got inspired to join in! Stay tuned for more pictures and thank you for all who contributed their art!
Today was the conclusion of professional development. The theme for this year is "Plant a Positive Mindset" and we started with a mindfulness moment and some yummy treats. Everyone is looking forward to great 2023-2024 school year and can't wait to greet our students!
Teachers were back in school for professional development, curriculum planning, and principal meetings today! The schools are ready and the teachers are excited to have the students back on Thursday, but first, another day of professional development tomorrow.
Come out tomorrow to decorate for the first day of school! Supplies will be available at Burke, Park, and ACECC from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm as long as it doesn't rain! Hope to see you and the sun tomorrow!

The Bellmawr School District hosted "The Science of Reading" conference today, and not only teachers attended, but a board member and administrators participated as well. Continuing professional development shows a commitment to students and the desire to grow as an educator. It was nice to see so many teachers in attendance.
We would like to thank our presenters and look forward to applying our new knowledge in the classroom. We also appreciate the vendors who made it possible for teachers to attend.
New Staff Orientation is complete! Bellmawr's newest faculty are ready to start, and we are very excited to welcome them to our community. Thank you to everyone who worked to make orientation successful and welcoming for our new staff. We are all looking forward to a great year!
Summer behind the scenes is not for the faint of heart! Facilities, tech, and Genesis support us all year long and need to keep up their strength! They spare 2 minutes a day to workout! Mr. Wright and Mr. DiBlasio joined late, making it a tie for Mr. Taylor and Mrs. Bickhart! :)
